What is overseas insurance?

Overseas insurance is insurance for your car, motorcycle, and personal property that's available while you are living outside of the United States.

GEICO has provided overseas insurance through its affiliate, GEICO Financial Services GmbH since 1960. GEICO Financial Services GmbH acts as your agent and arranges coverage from high quality overseas insurers who are licensed by the country you'll be living in.

Coverage is available to members of the military, government employees, expatriates and third-country nationals. Eligibility restrictions may apply in some countries.

What does an overseas insurance policy cover?

Trying to figure out which coverages you want and need in a foreign language might seem about as straightforward as learning all of the dialects of Swahili. That's where we come in.

Policies vary from country to country but in most locations you can purchase coverage for liability, comprehensive, and collision. Coverage does not extend to other people's vehicles or any vehicles used for business.
