The following are options for paying money into your bank account, either yourself or for others.

Online, phone and mobile payments

You can pay money into an account online, over the phone or with a mobile phone number.

You can also pay others or transfer between your accounts. Simply log in to Internet Banking or the mobile app and follow the payment instructions.

Paying money into your account in branch

There are several options for paying money into your account in branch using cash or cheque.

  • In person - Deposit a cash amount into your bank account at the desk.
  • Self-service machine - Many banks now have self-service machines that will deposit money into your account for you. Just follow the on-screen directions and feed the appropriate number of notes into the self-service slot.

You can also transfer money between accounts, or pay others in branch. Make sure to bring along your debit card for authentication.

Paying money into your account at the Post Office®

You can pay in both notes and coins at a Post Office® counter. Different Post Office® branches may have their own maximum deposit amount. You’ll need your account details and the equivalent total that you wish to deposit in coins and/or notes.

You can also pay in cheques at aPost Office®. A specific cheque envelope and a pre-printed paying in slip will be required to do this.. More details can be found on our Post Office® services page.
